CIO/ARTS
We bring tech folks in the performing arts together
CIO/Arts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing technology folks in performing arts together to share knowledge, resources and experiences.
As a group, we're smarter and more effective... and we even get better pricing from a few vendors like CDW and Dell.
CIO/Arts offers forums and networking, both in person and through our online group/listserv, to share information about IT strategies and operations in the unique world of the arts. We talk about stuff like:
- LANs and operating systems,
- hardware & peripherals,
- maintenance,
- general ledger, payroll, human resources,
- inventory and fixed assets,
- room and resource scheduling,
- ticketing,
- fundraising, concessions and merchandising,
- HVAC systems,
- facility security, life safety, communications,
- Web site & the Internet,
- graphics, digital imaging and CAD, public messaging, word processing, spreadsheets,
- data bases and presentations,
- integration, data mining and statistics,
- systems integrity,
- training,
- organizational policies and politics,
- legal issues,
- technology trends and the future.
